Installation & Integration Tips

  • Use isopropyl alcohol for lubrication before insertion (see Figure 2, pg. 7, "Tips for Connectors with Octonet Contacts").

  • Align contact key to the connector insert keyway at 12 o’clock (see Figure 3, pg. 8).

  • For optimal strain relief, avoid cable “flowering” by spacing cables exiting the backshell (see pg. 10).

  • Backshell extenders may be required to account for Octonet's extended protrusion (see dimensional guide pg. 3–4).
