Octonet Contacts from Open.Tech by Amphenol deliver eight differential 100Ω Ethernet pairs in a compact, blind-mateable coaxial contact form—specifically designed for VITA 67.3 modules within OpenVPX and SOSA-aligned systems. These ruggedized contacts support protocols like 1000BASE-T, 10GBASE-KR, and higher, enabling multi-channel gigabit performance in harsh military and aerospace environments.
With full VITA 67.3 compliance, Octonet is ideal for signal-heavy embedded systems demanding low latency, minimal crosstalk, and fast deployment via two-level maintenance. Designed to reduce SWaP while maximizing bandwidth density, Octonet contacts support both board-level integration and flexible cable routing using standard or 90° backshells and extenders.

Installation & Integration Tips
Use isopropyl alcohol for lubrication before insertion (see Figure 2, pg. 7, "Tips for Connectors with Octonet Contacts").
Align contact key to the connector insert keyway at 12 o’clock (see Figure 3, pg. 8).
For optimal strain relief, avoid cable “flowering” by spacing cables exiting the backshell (see pg. 10).
Backshell extenders may be required to account for Octonet's extended protrusion (see dimensional guide pg. 3–4).
Why Choose Octonet?
Octonet consolidates eight channels of Ethernet into a single contact interface—delivering high-speed, high-density performance without the weight and bulk of traditional copper wiring. Whether you're modernizing RF systems or building a rugged signal backbone, Octonet streamlines design while exceeding VITA 67.3 and SOSA slot profile requirements.
