3U VPX Wideband Down-Converters SOSA-Aligned

High-performance 3U VPX wideband RF down-converters, aligned to SOSA standards and optimized for low-SWaP platforms. With full 2–18 GHz RF coverage, digitizer-ready IF outputs, and superior spurious performance, the iDC-7901 and iDC-7902 enable real-time spectrum processing for EW, SIGINT, and HPOI systems.

Open.Tech’s wideband RF down-converters—available in the iDC-7901 and iDC-7902 models—deliver full 2.0 to 18.0 GHz RF coverage in a rugged, 3U VPX SOSA-aligned form factor. Designed to interface directly with high-speed digitizer cards, these down-converters provide eight overlapping RF bands translated into 4 GHz-centered IF outputs.

Both models support low-frequency bypass (100 MHz–2.25 GHz), anti-alias filtering, and user-selectable IF output modes, making them ideal for real-time wideband digitization, RFSoC-based processing, and EW/SIGINT systems.

The iDC-7901 integrates a 5:1 RF input switch, ideal for multi-band reception or platform reuse. For designs that benefit from reduced front-end loss and optimized noise figure, the iDC-7902 offers a single-input architecture and +5 dB gain for direct-to-digitizer signal chains.

All RF I/O is handled through a rugged VITA 67.3 14-port SMPM or 20-port NanoRF connector (model dependent), supporting high-density, blind-mate integration into OpenVPX payload slots.

Feature Highlights

  • Full-band 2.0–18.0 GHz RF coverage, with 8 overlapping bands
