Open.Tech’s iWR-6800 is a 3U VPX microwave tuner module engineered for high-performance RF front-end applications requiring full-bandwidth tuning, low SWaP, and SOSA alignment. Built on SMART receiver technology, the iWR-6800 spans 0.5 to 26.5 GHz and supports both wideband and narrowband collection architectures.
This single-slot module down-converts the RF input to a 1 GHz IF (500 MHz BW) and further to an optional 160 or 140 MHz IF for systems requiring legacy or narrowband outputs. Internally distributed LOs enable frequency and amplitude coherence across multi-channel systems, while a daisy-chained LO architecture supports beamforming and DF applications.
The tuner supports strobe-driven tuning via backplane signals, features an integrated 1 GigE control plane interface, and is optimized for operation under <30 W power draw.
